Google, Instagram, Snapchat or TikTok: which ads work for clinics?

Published 14 October 2026 · Doctiva

There's no single best ad platform for clinics. Google is strongest for treatments people actively search for. Instagram and Facebook build trust and demand for aesthetic and cosmetic treatments. Snapchat has strong reach in Saudi Arabia, especially with younger audiences. TikTok introduces doctors and treatments to new audiences through short video. Most clinics do best combining two or three, weighted by treatment.

Clinic owners often ask which platform they should advertise on. The honest answer depends on the treatment, the audience and how ready patients are to book.

Google Search: capturing patients who are already looking

When someone searches "dental implants Dubai" or "تقويم أسنان الرياض", they already know what they need. Google Search ads put your clinic in front of them at that moment.

Best for: implants, orthodontics, root canal, emergency dentistry, dermatology consultations, physiotherapy.

Instagram and Facebook (Meta): building trust and demand

Many patients don't search for aesthetic treatments until they've seen them. Meta ads let you show your doctors, your clinic and educational content to people likely to be interested.

Best for: aesthetic and cosmetic treatments, skin care, teeth whitening, veneers, seasonal offers.

Snapchat: strong reach in Saudi Arabia

Snapchat is widely used in Saudi Arabia and across the Gulf, particularly by younger audiences. Short, vertical video with a clear call to action works well.

Best for: cosmetic dentistry, aesthetics and offers aimed at younger patients, especially in KSA.

TikTok: introducing your clinic to new audiences

TikTok rewards authentic, educational short videos. Doctors answering common questions or explaining a treatment can reach large local audiences.

Best for: brand awareness, aesthetic treatments and building a recognisable doctor brand.

How to choose

  1. Start with your priority treatments. Are patients searching for them, or do they need to be inspired?
  2. Match the platform to the patient. Age, city and language all matter.
  3. Prepare the booking flow first. Ads only work if enquiries get a fast, helpful reply.
  4. Measure cost per booked patient, not cost per click or follower.

Don't forget compliance

Medical ads in the UAE and Saudi Arabia require approval from the relevant health authority. Plan time for approvals before launching a campaign.
